Body-Based

Therapy

If you’re feeling exhausted, wired but tired, emotionally overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you’re not alone.

As a CNHC Registered Yoga Therapist and Somatic Practitioner based in Manchester, Eirian specialises in supporting women navigating stress, burnout, insomnia and perimenopause through trauma-informed, body-based therapy.

Featured in BBC News online article discussing nervous system regulation and the vagus nerve.

What Is Somatic Yoga Therapy?

Somatic Yoga Therapy is a personalised, one-to-one therapeutic process that works directly with your nervous system.

Rather than only talking about stress, you’ll gently explore how it is held in your body — through breath patterns, muscle tension, fatigue cycles, sleep disruption and emotional overwhelm.

Using embodied yoga, somatic movement and evidence-informed nervous system regulation techniques, sessions are tailored specifically to you.

This approach is especially supportive for:

  • Burnout recovery

  • Chronic stress & anxiety

  • Sleep difficulties & insomnia

  • Perimenopause & hormonal transitions

  • Emotional regulation challenges

  • Trauma-related stress patterns

Who Eirian Works With

Many of the women Eirian supports are:

• High-achieving but exhausted
• Struggling with perimenopause symptoms
• Experiencing disrupted sleep
• Recovering from burnout
• Feeling stuck in fight-or-flight, fawn or freeze
• Wanting therapy that includes the body, not just talking

Having navigated burnout and insomnia herself, Eirian understands the frustration of feeling depleted yet unable to fully rest.

Words from Women Eirian has Supported

These reflections come from women navigating insomnia, burnout, stress and perimenopause — who were ready for a therapeutic approach that included the body, not just talking.

“After years of insomnia, I’m now sleeping 6–8 hours most nights — and I finally understand how to calm and regulate my nervous system.”

“I came to Eirian exhausted and overwhelmed. Through her somatic approach, I’ve learned how stress was living in my body — and I now have steady, practical tools I return to every day.”

“Perimenopause left me anxious and disconnected from myself. Yoga Therapy helped me feel steady again — sleeping better, softer in myself, and more at home in my body.”
